Cangene’s commitment to Canadians continues with the availability of a new liquid formulation of WinRho® SDF - the only licensed Anti-D immunoglobulin treatment for Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura or ITP in Canada.
In studies of adult and pediatric ITP patients, WinRho demonstrates efficacy and duration of response, with infusion times of only 3 to 5 minutes.1,2
WinRho® SDF is also indicated for the protection (prophylaxis) against the development of harmful antibodies in Rh-negative women exposed to Rh-positive blood. This exposure can occur with Rh-negative woman:
- Upon receipt of an Rh-positive blood transfusion
- During pregnancy or after delivery if the baby is Rh-positive or the Rh status is unknown.
